Mary Circle
Mary Circle is an evening group of women who were organized jover fifty years ago. The purpose of the group is to promote the total program of the church and unite wjomen in Christian fellowship.
Mary Circle has several fund raising luncheons and interesting programs and service projects throughout the year. Funds raised are used for church support, special projects, and general expense. We have a couple social gatherings and invite the ladies of the First Congregational Church of Crystal Lake to our Annual Salad Supper.
Mary Circle meets nine months of the year on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. We invite all women of the church to join us in fellowship and service to St. Paul's.
Martha Society
The Martha Society is a social group of women at St. Paul's. We meet on the first Wednesday of every month, except January and February, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Colonial Restaurant in Crystal Lake. You are welcome to join us for lunch and Christian fellowship.
In the past, Martha Society members have assisted with the Grandma's Cellar booth at the Annual St. Paul's Country Craft Fair with the preparing and selling of our famous "Irene's Relish." They also help with St. Paul's Spring and Fall Rummage Sales which they have a special Jewelry Booth. Every year the Martha Society donates their jewelry sale proceeds to the church to help with such purchases as hymnals, a freezer, and in 2008, a paver for the Walk of Remembrance.
The Martha Society did not meet this past year due to illness and lack of transportation. However, we would like to resume our meetings. If you are interested in joining us for lunch and fellowship and for more information about our group, please contact Marlene Arvidson.
