A message from Pastor Greg Lucas:St. Paul's United Church of Christ has a rich history that reaches back over 100 years in the Crystal Lake community. By God's grace and the hard work of many people, we continue to worship and serve in the name of Jesus Christ.
To paraphrase a friend and colleague of mine, "The great privilege of serving as a minister is to share in the drama of people's lives trusting in Jesus Christ." I think of my role here at St. Paul's as a great privilege. I have served as Pastor here since March of 2004 and experienced so many blessings through the caring and generosity of our members and friends.
I think of the journey of faith as a journey walked in the company of others who seek God. Neither the journey nor we who take it are perfect, rather we strive to do the best we can. I can recommend no better companions for this journey than the men, women, and children who come together at St. Paul's.
